1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage technologies are used on SignPDFOnline (signpdfonline.in), why they are used, what data they store, and how you can control them.

SignPDFOnline is built with a privacy-first architecture. All PDF document processing occurs locally in your browser. No cookies or storage ever contain your PDF content, document text, or signature images.

2. What We Use: Browser Local Storage (IndexedDB)

SignPDFOnline does not set traditional HTTP cookies for core functionality. Instead, it uses the browser's IndexedDB API — a structured local database that lives entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. IndexedDB is used for two purposes:

• Signature Library: When you save a signature for reuse, it is stored as a base64 image string in IndexedDB under the key signpdfonline_signatures. This storage persists across browser sessions until you explicitly delete it or clear browser data. It lives only on your device.
• Session Recovery Buffer: When you have an active PDF session, a temporary snapshot (placement metadata and signature images) is stored under signpdfonline_session for up to 5 minutes to enable accidental-close recovery. This data is automatically purged after 5 minutes.

You can delete all SignPDFOnline local storage instantly by clicking the "Clear All My Local Data" button in the homepage footer, or by clearing your browser's site data in browser settings.

3. Cookie Consent Preference

When you interact with the cookie consent banner, your acceptance preference is stored in localStorage under the key signpdfonline_cookie_accepted. This is a single boolean flag that prevents the banner from appearing on subsequent visits. It contains no personal information and never leaves your device.

4. Google AdSense Advertising Cookies

SignPDFOnline displays advertisements served by Google AdSense to keep the tool free for all users. When ads are displayed, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies on your browser to serve personalized advertisements. These cookies are set by Google's ad servers (not by signpdfonline.in) and operate under Google's own privacy policy.

Common Google advertising cookies include:

• __gads / __gpi: Used by Google to track ad impressions and prevent showing the same ad too frequently.
• IDE (doubleclick.net): Used by Google to record user interactions with advertisements and serve relevant ads based on prior browsing across the web.
• NID / CONSENT (google.com): Used to store user preferences and consent signals.

Important: These advertising cookies operate in isolated display containers and have no access to your PDF content, signature data, or any document information. Ad cookie data relates only to advertising interactions, not document activity.

To opt out of personalized advertising:

• Visit Google Ads Settings to manage personalization preferences.
• Visit aboutads.info to opt out via the Digital Advertising Alliance.
• Use a browser extension such as uBlock Origin to block advertising cookies entirely.

5. Google Fonts

SignPDFOnline loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). These requests are standard HTTPS font downloads. Google may log the request IP address and user-agent as part of its standard service operation. No cookies used by SignPDFOnline's core functionality are transmitted in these requests.

6. Analytics

At this time, SignPDFOnline does not use dedicated web analytics scripts (such as Google Analytics) beyond what may be provided by Hostinger's standard shared hosting access logs. Standard server access logs record IP addresses and requested URLs for security and diagnostic purposes. These logs do not contain document content.

7. Managing Your Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Note that blocking all cookies may affect the advertising display on this site but will not affect the core PDF signing functionality, which operates without any cookies.
